Boat Parties in Hong Kong!

Hong Kong is mostly known for its business finance districts and high skyscrapers in the centre of the city, but some visitors are completely oblivious to the beautiful scenic water landscapes of the harbour city!

In fact, most of the fancy corporate events and social business outings usually happen on motorcruisers or yachts or on luxury superyachts in Victoria Harbour! I mean, who wouldn’t want to jump on a fancy yacht and celebrate their event?

The majority of the vessels in the harbour city tend to be motorcruisers of various sizes, which seem to be the ‘go-to’ vessels for boat owners to buy to attract the corporate event organizers. There is, however, another type of vessel that is called something really out of the box, that also explains a unique piece of history of Hong Kong that only Hong Kongers tend to know. It’s called a Junk.

A Junk boat is an ol d type of sailing boat made from China and used for cargo transport and leisure since the 2nd century A.D. In Hong Kong, they are now revamped into amazing pieces of art that houses both history and authenticity of the city and to its culture. It’s very obvious that they’re also used for boat parties all around the island for private corporate events , team bonding events, family getaways or just a mini getaway with friends on the waters of Hong Kong!
